Day 9: Being Alone

The greatest mind has to bear the greatest solitude. Once you reached a deeper inside yourself then you would found you are alone, the essence for your existence is solitude. In the same way, to found yourself, you have to be alone so that you can have the "conversation" with yourself and walk into the wonderland. A man can be himself only so long as he is alone.

People who enjoy themselves and their loneliness because they have splendid inner worlds, even they were alone, they would be satisfied to face themselves and search the "wonderland" to gain the energy. While for the people who always trying to escape from themselves, they are frightened to see their empty inner worlds, they can't see the point, light and get the comforts from themselves, getting themselves lost...trying to hold on to someone who doesn't care about losing them.

Emptiness inside is a kind of disease. You spent too much time talking about irrelevant things with others; you worked like a machine which requires no self-communion; you barely had no dreams at night or you never remembered any of the dreams...When you sit there alone, you will find you are empty, the space is so small that you can not stay there any more, the uncomfortable and unsatisfied feelings are pushing you back to your friends or games...But even you are with others, you can find the emptiness is still following you and there is no such kind of social connecting can make you get rid of it...

Being alone is the cure. The universe started from nothingness, splendid could also start with emptiness. But first you need to know "alone", just like God needs to set the rules before the creation. The people who knows about "alone" has outdid his loneliness, he always belongs to himself wherever he is. He could even forget the external world gradually, and focus on himself, only by doing this can he be able to have a bright outbreak, and find the beauty, free and wisdom from himself.

We were born alone, and we are going to be alone with death. Even now we are also alone, and that is the essence of being yourself.
